The last time these two met up was in the Battle in Seattle at the Climate Pledge Arena and it was a tough outing for Gonzaga. UConn’s Donovan Clingan led the way with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in the 76-63 win.
The Huskies may have lost Clingan, Stephen Castle, Tristen Newton and Cam Spencer to the NBA but head coach Dan Hurley just simply reloaded. He has returnees Alex Karaban and Hassan Diarra, recruited one of the top high school players in the country with Liam McNeeley and brought in Saint Mary’s transfer Aidan Mahaney.
