
An all-time Zag talks about how life is going at Florida Atlantic, helps prepare for No. 8 Gonzaga’s opening matchup with No. 9 Georgia in the NCAA Tournament.
Eric McClellan was a special player during his time with Gonzaga from 2014-16. It was a bumpy road to get there, but fans couldn’t have been more happy that he made his way to Spokane. The 2016 West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year averaged 10.7 points, 2.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 26.9 minutes per game during his senior season. He was a vital part of the 2014-15 Elite Eight team and the 2015-16 Sweet Sixteen squad.
The now 31-year-old is a grad assistant under former Gonzaga Director of Basketball Operations John Jakus who is in his first season as the head coach at Florida Atlantic. The Owls open up the NIT in Boca Raton against the No. 1 Dayton Flyers on Wednesday, March 19th at 4 PM PT on ESPN2.
