Thanks for all the memories the past two seasons.
The first Zag to enter his name into the transfer portal is sophomore guard Dusty Stromer. That flow is going to be missed in Spokane.
Stromer went from starting 15 games in his freshman season to having his minutes take a dip to 17.5 per game in his sophomore season. His career averages with Gonzaga were 4.6 points per game on a shooting clip of 38.5 field goal percentage/35.1 three-point percentage/80.3 free throw percentage. At 6’6, he also grabbed 2.7 rebounds per game.

Any high-major program would be lucky to have the sophomore on their roster for next season. Should the USC Trojans or UCLA Bruins out of the Big Ten Conference reach out the Sherman Oak native?
The most impressive performance of his Gonzaga career actually came in the 89-76 victory over USC at the Legends of Basketball Las Vegas Invitational in 2023. Stromer finished his most all-around showing while representing the Zags with 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a block. He went 5-for-13 from field, 4-for-9 on three-pointers.
With a (hopefully) healthy Steele Venteers set to make his Gonzaga debut in 2025-26, coach Mark Few will have a true sharpshooter to replace his input at the two spot.
