The Gonzaga legend was involved in a trade with a Saint Mary’s legend between the Wisconsin Herd and the Stockton Kings.
The Stockton Kings have agreed to trade the returning player rights to Jordan Ford and Deonte Burton and a 2025 second-round NBA G League Draft pick to the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for the returning player rights to Drew Timme. I don’t think a Saint Mary’s Gael has ever been traded for a Gonzaga Bulldog.
Timme averaged 9.7 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 1.9 APG in 21.8 MPG through 27 games with the Wisconsin Herd in the G-League last season. In the NBA Summer League with the Sacramento Kings, Timme showed off his offensive versatility. He put together 11.4 PPG on 63.2 FG%, 4.4 RPG and 1.0 SPG in five games.
It’s a hard job being a journeyman in the G-League as Timme fights for just a chance at a NBA roster spot. If he can stay healthy (suffered a foot injury in January that ended his season early), he’ll be able to put together a full season of highlights for general managers to take a serious look at.
