The first of many to come from the member of the 2024 All-West Coast Conference First Team and Spokane native.
After being waived by the Boston Celtics in the beginning of March, Anton Watson was giving a shot in the Big Apple on a two-way contract with the New York Knicks just two days later.
Back on March 10th in Sacramento, the former Zag made his NBA debut against the Kings at the Golden 1 Center. He would only put in one assist and one turnover in four minutes of play.

Jump ahead a week later on March 17, Watson would accomplish the goal he always dreamed of as a kid. Scoring his first NBA bucket and what bigger stage to do it on than Madison Square Garden with his patented push/float shot. Watson finished with two points and one assists in three minutes during the 116-95 victory over the Miami Heat.

In 21 G-League games with the Maine Celtics this season, Watson has averaged 12.0 points per game on a 42.6 field goal percentage and 30.8 three-point percentage, 5.4 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game.
The 54th pick in 2024 NBA Draft is a versatile threat and has shown glimpses of his improved shooting ability. His defensive prowess and ability to act as a “glue guy” is what made him so special at Gonzaga.
