The deal is a three-year, $59 million dollar contract that will kick in 2025-2026 through 2027-2028. That is the maximum allowable amount over that term.
Andrew Nembhard’s life couldn’t get any better right now.
After helping lead the Indiana Pacers to the Eastern Conference Finals, he got the opportunity of a lifetime to represent Canada at the Paris Olympics. Now as he prepares for the world’s biggest stage, Nembhard gets a contract extension with the Pacers.
The reason for this big payday has to do with him coming up clutch in some of the biggest moments during Indiana’s playoff run. In 17 postseason appearances, Nembhard averaged 14.9 PPG on 56.0 FG%/48.3 3PT%, 5.5 APG and 3.3 RPG on the way to the Pacers’ first conference finals appearance since 2014.
The deal is a three-year, $59 million dollar contract that will kick in 2025-2026 through 2027-2028. That is the maximum allowable amount over that term. With Nembhard’s extension not official until 2025, the Pacers have their breakout guard under contract for $61 million over the next four years:
2024-2025 = $2.0 million
2025-2026 = $18.1 million
2026-2027 = $19.6 million
2027-2028 = $21.0 million
Nembhard has been a seamless fit next to Tyrese Haliburton at the shooting guard position with his elite ball handling, improved shot making and shutdown defense. The Pacer is turning into one of the better two-way guards in the league. He’s only scratching the surface of his full potential and if he takes another leap, Nembhard should be getting an even more massive third contract in 2028.
